EARLY CHILDHOOD
in elain's youth, the archeron family was one of wealth and stability. one of three daughters, their father was a traveling merchant who made quite the fortune with his trade. their mother was a stern, serious woman who took to raising her daughters in much the same way an admiral trains his troops.however, their families luck took a turn for the worst when, without the same year, their mother came down with an illness that took her from them and their father's business dealings came back to bite him, leaving him permanently injured and unable to work. it fell to the three girls to care for themselves — something they had never had to do before. later in her life, elain would look back with no small amount of shame for how useless she felt in the years that followed, depending physically and emotionally on her sisters for everything for far too many years.after her youngest sister was taken from them, elain seemingly kicked into gear, determined to no longer be a burden to anyone in her family. pursuing a relationship with a wealthy land owner's son, elain fell madly in love with lord graysen, becoming engaged quickly before her family's luck starts to turn thanks to a mysterious fortune being left to them by an aunt that neither sister had ever known.when feyre returns home from her time in the land of the fae, it doesn't take much for elain to realize that her youngest sister has been utterly changed. no longer a human like the rest of them, she comes with a troupe of fae warriors at her back and a request; to help her new fae court meet with the queens of the human lands. it is elain who first agrees to host the meeting, her relief at feyre being alive and, seemingly, happy overshadowing her fear of the fae.

BEING MADE
during the midst of war, elain and nesta find themselves unwillingly pawns in feyre's battles with the king of hybern and her spurned lover, tamlin. taken hostage by the king, they are forced to change — the become Made fae — to prove that the cauldron is powerful enough to grant eternal beauty and immortality to the human queens in exchange for their loyalty and for staying uninvolved in the war feyre's court was apart of.thrust into the cauldron, elain's life was irrevocably changed by the magic within. not only did she lose her human frailty and human beauty in exchange for a fae form, but the cauldron seemed to imbue her with another ability; the gift of Sight. in the months that followed her change, elain was assaulted with unexplainable visions. her speech become ominous and stunted, choosing not to engage rather than try and explain the things in her mind.LIFE IN PRYTHIAN
it took much time for her to sort through the things she saw that were real and not real. it was a slow progress, accepting that some of the things she saw and dreamt were to come to pass, but the patience of her sister feyre, the comforting presence of the shadowsinger, and the desire to be of use were great incentives to find herself and crawl out of the depths of her confusion and trauma.mourning the loss of her humanity, and all that that entailed, became more bearable as she was moved into the townhouse, given free reign of the kitchens and the garden, and become close with the shadow twins, nuala and cerridwen.she found she could be happy with her life the way that it was; simple and quiet, when war and brutality would allow for it.

.( BALDUR'S GATE ).this verse sees elain as a potential companion within the party. she can be met and acquired upon entering the underdark, specifically living within the myconid colony, where she is found treating the ironhand gnome survivor by the sovereign. should your party choose to help the gnome, elain will offer to join your quest, providing her experience as a healer.along the journey, it can be uncovered that elain has Sight; the ability to see flashes of the future. she mostly keeps this fact to herself, because the flashes are often nondescript and tend to feel unhelpful. she might be known to drop an ominous line or two that could be a clue to potential routes for the party.RACE: high elf
